The War Memorial c1920
This photograph (taken from an original postcard) shows the original
junction between Ermine Street (A1198) and Cambridge Road (A603)
looking north-east towards Cambridge. A new-looking Wimpole and
Arrington War Memorial is on the left and Wimpole Lodge (now 141
Cambridge Road) is on the right. |
| Because of the bare trees and the commemorative wreaths,
the month is likely to be November/December and the condition of
the War Memorial indicates a year in the early 1920's. |
| The photographer is believed to
be Robert H Clark of Royston. |
